We use a small non-profit organization in Cape Town, to make paper and beaded items for us, to company specifications. We have also used these ladies to make TABLE DECOR for conferences.
“Iziko” is a non profit organisation based in Cape Town. They make fine stationery products from recycled paper and apply unique beaded design elements hand-crafted by local women. They have the added value of being able to apply a company logo with their skilful beading to match your branding requirements and produce unique promotional items and stationery.
By purchasing their products, the well-being of women is nurtured. They offer an enterprise development programme, English literacy, skills training, life skills and opportunities for entrepreneurship. Loans and business mentoring are also made available to these women from the informal settlement of Imizamo Yethu.
Their paper products and beading range is what sustains them. The product range includes conference files, note-books of various sizes, beautiful bound book journals, albums, guest signature books, telephone cubes and cards that are all manufactured from re-cycled paper. They also offer unique corporate gifts which include beaded USB covers and computer dusters, as well as bookmarks, key rings, lanyards and much more.
Iziko is BEE certified and committed to the economic empowerment of the local community of Imizamo Yethu, with their focus being on women.
Here is an example of books that were made for SPAR as well as a telephone block with an ethnic pattern. Iziko were responsible for many of the beaded VUVUZELAS that were seen during the Soccer World Cup.
